T1 Business Access

Voxline T1 service provides a private network dedicated Internet connection from your office to our backbone.

Digital signal 1 (DS1, sometimes DS-1) is a T-carrier signaling scheme devised by Bell Labs. DS1 is a widely used standard in telecommunications in North America to transmit voice and data between devices. DS1 is the logical bit pattern used over a physical T1 line; however, the terms "DS1" and "T1" are often used interchangeably.

Speed

T1 speeds are 1.544 Mbps upload and download simultaneously. T1 lines are an appropriate choice for companies that hosts its servers in-house, have more than 10 employees in the office and have a need for equal upload and download speeds.

T1 vs Cable or DSL

T1 lines are extremely reliable and offer consistent upload speeds as opposed to Cable or DSL services. Cable service is usually not a good choice for business broadband, as it is prone to latency and is subject to poor performance in areas where there are many cable customers in close proximity to each other. This is known as oversubscribing and is the key difference between dedicated broadband such as T1 and other forms of Internet.

Cable service does not offer any SLA (service level agreements), while all Voxline T1 lines come with a 4-hour SLA response time.
